Talents in The Technomancer affect how successful Zachariah will be with various tasks. Your Companions will also make use of several of their own talents. Talents give access to new abilities, picking padlocks, creating health and focus injections, making high level upgrades, etc.

 

Talents Information

 

You acquire points as you progress in the game which you can spend on the various talents, who have their own prerequisites and point costs. You earn a point to use in Talents at the following levels: 5, ??, ??. Their are 6 branches in the Talent tree, Science, Stealth, Crafting, Traps/Lockpicking, Charisma and Exploration.

A good relationship with a Companion gives you a Talent bonus when they are in your squad.

 

Science

Talent Description Prerequisite
Science Level 1 Unlocks level 1 contextual science actions. Increases the chance of success in dialog (Science) by 25%. Greatly increases life regeneration outside of combat, including for companions. 1 point
Science Level 2 Unlocks level 2 contextual science actions. Increases the chance of success in dialog (Science) by 25%. Lets you heal a companion during combat (uses up a health injection). 1 point
Science Level 3 Unlocks level 3 contextual science actions. Increases the chance of success in dialog (Science) by 25%. Lets you restore 25% of a companion's life during combat (uses up a health injection). 1 point

 
Stealth

Talent Description Prerequisite
Stealth Level 1 Lets you steal items while being stealthy. Lets you make stealth attacks on monsters. 1 point
Stealth Level 2 Lets you sprint while being stealthy. Stealth attacks are automatically critical and electrocute the target. 1 point
Stealth Level 3 Stealth attacks on humans no longer use fluid and instantly knock the target out without making a sound. 1 point

 

Crafting

Talent Description Prerequisite
Crafting Level 1 Unlocks level 1 contextual mechanical actions. Increases the chance of success in dialog (Mechanical) by 25%. Lets you recycle equipment without a workbench. 1 point
Crafting Level 2 Unlocks level 2 contextual mechanical actions. Increases the chance of success in dialog (Mechanical) by 25%. Lets you use advanced crafting plans. 1 point
Crafting Level 3 Unlocks level 3 contextual crafting actions. Increases the chance of success in dialog (Crafting) by 25%. Lets you use superior crafting plans. 1 point

 

 Traps/Lockpicking

Talent Description Prerequisite
Traps Lockpicking Level 1 Lets you pick level 1 locks. Lets you set traps faster during combat. 1 point
Traps Lockpicking Level 2 Lets you pick level 2 locks. Improves traps, so they do more damage. 1 point
Traps Lockpicking Level 3 Lets you pick level 3 locks. Lets you use fewer components when making traps. 1 point

 

Charisma

Talent Description Prerequisite
Charisma Level 1 Increases the chance of success in dialog (Charisma) by 25%. -20% on prices with merchants.  1 point
Charisma Level 2 Increases the chance of success in dialog (Charisma) by 25%. +20% damage for Companions. 1 point
Charimsa Level 3 Increases the chance of success in dialog (Charisma) by 25%. +20% life for Companions 1 point

 

Exploration

Talent Description Prerequisite
Exploration Level 1 Lets you collect ingredients from dead creatures +10% chance of loot. 1 point
Exploration Level 2 Searchable items are highlighted with VFX +10% chance of loot. 1 point
Exploration Level 3 +25% components recovered when recycling equipment. +10% chance of loot. Lets you craft consumables without a workbench. 1 point
